The Virtual Weighbridge.

Kenya National Highways Authority has resorted to the use of technology to scale up its vigilance on trucks to ensure that they do not carry excess cargo. The Virtual Weighbridge System (VWS) runs on a High Speed Weighing in Motion (HSWIM) backbone which captures data from the sensors and cameras, classifies the vehicle and thereafter transmits the data for analysis at the Control Center.

BI-ANNUAL MEETING

In line with our slogan for this year ‘Fulfilling the Mandate’, the Bi - Annual Meeting happened on the 24th of May 2019 , at Nokras Riverine – Sagana, Upper Eastern Chapter. The TAK Bi-annual brought together three (3) delegates who are officials in our member Sacco’s countrywide who engaged the government authorities and private stakeholders in the transport sector (Kenya National Highways Authority, NTSA, and vehicle manufacturers/dealers) in matters related to road transport, road safety and also discussed issues affecting us in the trucking industry...

AGM 2019.

Having concluded our most successful year (2018-2019), Truckers Association of Kenya organised an Annual general meeting 2019. Bringing three (3) delegates from our member Sacco’s countrywide together to deliberate on issues affecting the transporter and the trucking industry at large just to mention but a few. using different partners and holding of several
sensitization meetings countrywide in order to
increase business skills for truck owners,
refresher courses for our drivers on new and
existing laws, health and wellbeing, loading
levels and business networking.
